Do you know how Pure your Kansa Wellness Wand is?

Updated: Apr 17, 2018

Read my blog to find out how I know that the Kansa Bronze I supply is of the purest quality.

As a Therapist I have always been interested in natural/organic skincare, a few years ago I became very sensitive to certain products. I have trialled many skincare ranges over the years, finding it difficult to get that perfect balance until I tried the following products which have always suited my skin Tropic skincare, and two beautiful ranges that are made by hand with pure love and affection Essential Blend Skincare and Rhythm of Beauty. I have enjoyed using these products, knowing that they contain natural and organic ingredients. Please do bare in mind that we are all individuals and what suits one person doesn't suit everyone. Try and buy samples from the companies first to ensure that you're using the correct range for you.

How Pure is your Kansa Wellness Wand?

When I first came across the Kansa wands I didn't know a lot about them, I didn't know what they were made from and also which was the best place to purchase them from.

I ordered several Wands from the internet, the images showed that the Bronze cap was perfectly smooth. However, when the wands arrived I was really shocked, the bronze wand wasn't as smooth as shown, it has sharp edges which could easily cut the skin. Lesson learned 'Think before you Buy!' - ask the supplier any questions, eg what is the product made from?, does it contain lead etc? I still have these poor quality wands now and often show my Trainees and clients so that they are aware of this issue. (The image below shows the sharp edges and small bump in the middle of the wand (left) - the larger image on the right shows the smooth wand on the right which I now supply).

I decided to take a gamble and purchased a few from the internet. I had found a site and looked at the images of them, the wands advertised were perfectly smooth. I was totally surprised when I received them - the quality wasn't what I was expecting at all. The Bronze bowl wasn't smooth, and had rough edges (as you can see from the image above right) . If I wasn't careful I could surely cut myself. I didn't know what the actual metal was made from knowing that I have a nickel allergy too and was told they were nickel free. How was I to know for sure? The wand on the far right is the wand that I supply, perfectly smooth and no sharp edges. Please think before you buy, ask lots of questions.

How do we pronounce Kansa?

Before I go any further with my blog, lets talk about how to pronounce the word Kansa. I am asked this question a lot. It is pronounced as 'Kaahnsa' in India and has many mentions in the Ayurveda Ganthas (Indian scripts) known as Rajtarangini and Bhavprakasha.

What is Bronze aka ‘Kansa’?

‘Kansa’ is an alloy of copper and tin. It is important to understand that the best quality Kansa does not contain any Lead.  It is very popular in the kitchen in India and the metal retains heat well.  Copper was coated with a layer of tin, to ensure that foods was stored safely.  Ayurveda recommends that for the purposes of good health, food should be consumed in ‘Kansa’ ‘thalis’ aka plates as it is known to have the following "Health Benefits": - Kansa controls the heat/acidity in the body - rebalancing the body's natural Energies - Helps to detoxify the internal organs - Helps to improve overall Immunity in human body (Oh how I wish I had a full dinner service in Kansa, how beautiful would that be?) Funnily enough since I have purchased the Kansa Wellness products I have changed the look in my home, Copper, Gold and Silver can now be found and also a change to my jewellery.

How I know that the Kansa Wellness Wands I supply are of the Purest Bronze!

Even after initially ordering Kansa products and being disappointed I was still very much intrigued by the Kansa wands, I decided to search again on the internet and as if by magic I found my current Kansa Supplier. After many questions which were answered with a quick response I took the plunge and purchased my first order. I have never looked back. As you can see from the top image not only do they produce wellness products, they also supply Dinner services, Cups, and religious items such as Bells. Pure Bronze makes a sweet resonating sound upon a strike. Bronze shows a nil microbial presence under a microscope one hour after being washed in warm water.

The health benefits of the wands used on the skin are very similar to those above. Whilst gently gliding the wands over the surface of the skin we are recharging the nervous energy, which is then stored. This sends a signal to the whole body systems reminding it what is should be doing - rebalancing the Mind, Body and Spirit. Clients have noted that the treatment has a longer lasting effect on their sleep and pain levels.

After using the Kansa wellness wand some people may notice a slight greyness, this is nothing to be alarmed about, it is removing any toxins/acidity from the skin. This is easily cleansed away, leaving your skin shiny, refreshed, leaving you with a feeling of peace and serenity.

I now offer Accredited Training with the Kansa Wellness Wands to qualified professionals. Training is available for small groups, 1:1 individual training.

To find out more information about the wands I am also available for Kansa Workshops, offering Kansa Shining Light Sensory Experience Treatments for events. Please contact me if you would be interested in working together.
